Picture in the Park...
Yr10 students took on the Picture in the Park task as an opportunity to express their media skills for a chance to win a paid commission to produce the advertising materials for the public launch of streetgrowers later this year. Click here to view all the posters created. The brief for this task was to produce a poster advertising Greenwich Park which showed what the park means to different people. The task began at 9am and by 3pm each student had planned the theme for their poster, visited the park, captured the images on camera, dowloaded them and used mac software to create their finished article.

streetbees at Tallis...
Staff at Tallis went on a taster session to see exactly what beekeeping is all about with the intention of developing an apiary (that's several beehives to you and me) in the school garden. Obviously the pollination benefits to our veggies and potential to sell honey and beeswax are important but we are also looking for a wider range of uses for bees, colony life and hives in learning. The entire project is being recorded in a video diary and blogged on this site. Click here to have a look at the video diary so far...
